Birthday today

Terry's birthday is today, so I would like to take a moment to express my joy and love for this fabulous man in my life. Terry is kind and gentle, with a little bit of mischief mixed in. He loves to tease, and laugh. His voice always has a hint of a smile lurking there. He is so much fun to listen to. His sense of humor is just under the surface all the time.
Terry loves his girls unconditionally. Unless of course they do not agree with him! (that's a oxy-moron). He will spend hours of his time doing projects for them. He loves them so very much.
As a PaPa, Terry is totally head over heels in love with his Grandchildren. Everyone of them bring him happiness and joy. He loves sitting at his desk and blowing bubbles for them to catch. He has a special tin in his office that is full of candy for his Grands, and when I eat that candy, he gives me the evil eye. This candy is for his GRANDS.
Terry is in love with his WIFE. I know this, because I am his wife. He looks at me with the sweet look of love in his eyes. He is gentle and caring. He always is interested in my passions. hehe. :* When I am sick, he will make me soup.
Terry LOVES his parents. He worries and always wants to be available when they are in need. He talks of his life as a child with great love and fun. Terry's Mom and Dad have always shown him just how much he means to them, and Terry appreciates the hugs and kisses they bestow upon him.
One of Terry's favorite places to be is the Cabin in Donnelly. He breaths better in the mountain. The work he does up there is pure love. He always wants to go to the cabin. I believe that is were he wants to retire. I am all for that. I would love to retire with him up there.
Terry has so many talents. He is a worker bee. I know that Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother are so very proud of him. He has always been honest in his life. He is a no nonesense man, whom will always be truthful to you. He so loves to talk to you. He complains about me talkin to much, however, he always has time to talk to anyone that needs him.
He can spend hours talkin to neighbors here in Ontario, and in Donnelly. He volunteers to help on any project. He may forget to go, but he will be there with bells on if it is on his calendar.
Can I just tell you one and all, that I love this husband of mine. He makes my day. I love you Terry. May this year be as eventful, and exciting as last year. May we grow even closer in our old age, and may I always remember to tell you of the great love that I have for you. You are my best friend, and my lover. There is now other, and I know you are my eternal partner, now and forever. .....Love, Tree

Excitement today, all day long

So, today was very fun. Last night I went to Nampa and Meridain and picked up Kasen and Logan. Then today I called Krystal and asked if I could have Noah and Chloe. We had a very exciting day! First, all four took a bubble bath. Then they took a shower, then after dressing, and lotioned down they layed on TuTu and PaPa's bed and watched PBS. It was all so fun!
They all voted to have Mac and cheese for lunch. I made it my way. With rue. They also wanted hot dogs in it.
After lunch, right after lunch, they wanted a snack. The snack, I decided to make was Brownies. When the brownies were done, we all had brownies and ice cream. Yummy.
Krystal came to pick up the kids around four thirty. Before she came, the kids discovered what fun it is to throw dice on hard wood floors. I have a big old bag of colored dice. The kids emptied the whole bag on the floor, as soon as the noise started, they grabbed them up, and started throwing them across the room. Oh my, it made allot of noise, and was way fun. At first, I was annoyed, until I realized what they liked was the noise they were making. So, I just sat on the couch and watched. Kasen would throw a hand full and then turn to look at me, as if I were going to yell at him to stop. Cutie.
Krystal came, and she showed me how to put pictures up on facebook. I have no idea how to do it right this minute, She will have to show me how to do it again. It is a very good thing she is patient with me.
Ater Krystal left, Terry set the small sprinkler up in the front yard. The two boys had so much fun running and sitting on the sprinkler. I then put them to bed, in different rooms, and they were asleep with in ten minutes. They were very tired little ones. It was a full and happy day. I love being with my Grands and these were a different set of four in my house, and they were lots of fun.
Good night all......

a new day in the Mairs Home

So, we have been havin so much fun here at home. We had the boys here so Brandi and Russ could go on their honeymoon. Ginger came over to help, and she choose to bring three more children with her, plus her dog. So, she really had alot to look after. Poor Ginger. She is so cute. She always thinks of others, rather then herself. She ended up bringing Jesiah, Eric, and Taylor. Eric and Taylor are the children she use to live with. She misses them so much. So anyway. When she went home on Monday, she was exhausted. Totally wiped out. Loved the time with them. Ginger took care of everything. So, I didn't have to lift a finger.
Tonight, we had Jesiah, Noah, Alec, Logan, Chloe here for a short time. I love to have the kids here. They had dinner, then went outside to climb the tree and fight each other on the yard. We adults watched from the saftey of the patio chairs. Enjoyable night for one and all.

Blessing

Went to Mom and Dad's today. Dad has been having trouble with his kidneys. He has been very weak this last week. He is going to the doctor's this week hopefully. The oil was given by Terry and the blessing was given by Robert. They both did a wonderful job. They were so honored to give the blessing to their Father. Dad has been so healthy and strong for so long, it is really hard to see him struggle with strength due to his kidneys.
While we were there we also celebrated Daniel, Tyson, and Dougies birthdays. It was very nice. Eileen and Robert ordered pizza and cake, and it turned out very nice. Was a little surprised that Mom wasn't in the know about the party. Fun none the less. Was happy we happened to be there. It was just Terry and I and then the Robert Mairs family. Very nice day indeed.

waited to long for the cherries

I had cherries on Saturday, and Ket said they were perfect, and still hard. I got a pitter from Krystal, and intended to pit the cherries, and eat some, and whatever, with the rest. However, this morning, I went and got them, and put them in the sink, to start pitting. The cherries were all soft, and smelled like alcohol. I was very surprised they had gone bad so fast. So, no cherries for us. Sad, oh well......
Terry left for Parma to work today. He sure does enjoy his job. I am proud of him, I am always amazed with his determination. Love that man.
The boys are here now. They will be here till Tuesday. PaPa was so happy to see them last night. He hugged and kissed each of them, and told them that he missed them, and was happy they came for a visit. It was heartwarming to watch.
Krystal cut off my hair yesterday! I am so glad! No more fuzzy hair days. I hate my hair when it is fuzzy. Thank you Krystal for sharing your talents with me, at the last possible minute. I do that to Brandi also, and she always accommodates me also.

Dad Mairs

Yesturday around two, Terry got a call from his Mom. Mom was concerned about Dad's legs. Dad had lost the strength in his legs. He was havin trouble getting up, and in and out of the car. Terry and I went right over to be a support to Mom, and help with Dad. We went to the Draw Center with them, so Dad could have his blood drawn. We then went home with Mom and Dad. We were served a wonderful dinner, which Mom was preparing for herself and Dad. She is such a great cook. Was really nice to be with the both. Around eight-thirty, we went home. Terry called this morning to see how Dad was. He is feeling much better this morning. This is good. I was really concerned about Dad. Having lost my own Dad last year, it is very scary to think of Dad Mairs not feeling well. I love him so much.
I have sat here on the couch all morning playing with the computer. I have had water, and potatoe chips so far this morning. Terry just got home for lunch, and he is making me a hot dog for lunch. Such a sweet guy. Gotta love a husband that takes such good care of me. I'll keep him a few more years..HEHE
It is very very quiet around here without the kids and dogs. LOL I am so going to get used to this!!
Krystal and Robby and kids went to Roaring Springs today. I hope that they have a great time. I don't know what I will do with the rest of my day. I do know I need to iron Terry's shirts today. So, I will do that for sure. Man, this life with no kids is so relaxing.

so still

It is so very silent in the house. It will take awhile to get use to this. I am not so sure I like it. Brandi called this morning just to chat, it was nice...then she had to suddenly get off the phone, cuze a puppy peed on her floor! HEHEHE......Don't miss that at all.

Sunday, August 9

It has been so long since I blogged, I really didn't even remember how. Brandi and boys are now married and gone to be a family with Russ Carey. Brandi is in love, as is the boys. They are all very happy. We had the wedding last Saturday, and the Open House yesturday. Both occasions were wonderful and beautiful. I am so proud of all my girls. They all were a active part of the ceremony and Open House. Congratulations to the Carey family. I spent alot of time at the Open House holding and feeding Jaren. I love, just love this smallest Angle of my grands. I feel very blessed to be a part of my grands lives.
My house is all organized and clean and different now. No toys downstairs, my favorite Tree of Life picture is able to be seen by all now. It was covered up by the computer desk for a while. I love this picture. Nicole and Ket bought it for themselves while they were in Florida, and then gave it to Dad and I when they saw how much I loved it. I bought a used couch at a yard sale to sit beneth it. It is very comfortable, and looks perfect there. My rooms are wide open, and I love it. Just the way I have always dreamed it would look. My Dad's chair is over by the couch. I should recover it, however, I am not ready yet. I will get to it someday. As for now, I can still see my Dad sitting in it. I miss him so.
Terry is at the cabin right now. He left Saturday, even before the party was over. He loves the cabin, as I do. He is always striving to do the right things, so his Father will not have to have any worries about the cabin. I love my husband, and the love he so freely gives and feels, and expresses to me concerning his parents. They raised a very wonderful son. I am proud to be a Mairs.

Saturday is a special day!

Hello all my loved friends and family,
Yesterday Terry was with Tony Klein all day, doin insurance stuff. Last night we loaded up the truck and went to Nicole and Kets to deliver the old refrigerator that was at the shop. It is the refrig that came out of Brandi's house on Loveridge Drive when she lived there. It still works great, and Nicole and family really needed some cold storage for food. It is ugly, yet usable. Anyway, we took Logan with us. It was his first time in PaPa's tall big truck. He has a blast pointing out everything he sees. What a joy. He also played with PaPa's hats that were hanging from the gun racks. That was also fun to watch.
When we got to the home, the boys were excited to show me the new trampoline they have in the back yard. Kasin had so much fun jumping on it. Logan wanted to jump also, and so I put him onto the trampoline. He tried jumping on his feet, but he said it hurt his leg, so he jumped on his knees. I held Jaren the whole time to watch, and Jaren really was stretching his body to be a part of the fun on the trampoline.
Jesiah was a big help with the little boys. He is a awesome big brother to everyone. Such wonderful freckles on his face, an angel to look at. The only one I didn't see was Kassia. She must have been at a friends, as I don't think she was at home. I missed seeing her.
I did get to hug and kiss my sweet baby Ginger. I miss seeing her. She is so busy with her own business right now. I did get the opportunity to be her photo assistant a couple of weeks ago. That was really fun. She was taken pictures of an engaged couple. Ah, young love.
Alec got to spend the night at Aunt Krystal and Uncle Robbie's home last night. He had so much fun! He loves to spend time with his nephew Noah.

hurt leg

So Logan went to the park today, and he jumped off the slide. It was taller then him, and he hurt his leg when he landed. He cried and cried. This is not like Logan, with a kiss and love from his mommy, he is always better. He really hurt. So, Brandi came home, and Terry went out to the car to look at him. He suggested that Logan go to the Dr. Brandi took him, and they sent him to the hospital for x-rays. The techs were gone, so they sent him home, and the results will be given to her in the morning. Meanwhile, Logan can not walk on his own. He is in pain every time his feet have any pressure on them.
Alec spent the day with Terry working in the office with him. He is so excited to be of help to PaPa. I think it is very sweet.
Today I found a dear friend on face book. She is Debby Sailors Judd from North, and Boise high. She moved away in our sophomore year. I called her, and talked for almost three hours. It was so much fun. I have thought of her often. She was an important part of my life. Her voice sounds the same. It's funny how all these memories come back about school. She has had a very interesting life.
I talked to Ket last night. He suggested I put honey in hot water to drink for my sore throat. I tried it. It helped me go to sleep. Thanks Ket.
My visiting teachers came by today. My house was so very dusty. I noticed while they were here. I was embarrised. Funny the little things bother me now.

its about time!

Hello everyone, I bet you are so surprised to hear from me. Yes, it has been such a long time, and so much has happened. I don't know were to begin.
I will start with my Dad. My Mother had a wonderful reception to showcase my Dad's Headstone. It is the most beautiful I have ever seen. I shall ask Ginger to put a picture of it on this blog so you all can see it. After the viewing, we all went over to Mom's home and had chili and chocolate cake. You see, as we were growing up, it was a tradition that whenever Mom made chili, she also made chocolate cake. They would be eaten at the table at the same time. We would each have a small plate, and a bowl. It was totally normal to us, and I remember being surprised that at other homes, if there was chili served they did not also have cake. Um, that's odd. Lo and behold, it was our family that was odd. However, it made for happy and fun memories. The gathering that gathered at Moms home was great, and the chili (four different kinds) and the cake (too many to count) was oh so good. The company and conversations were fabulous. There were surprise guests, this was my Mothers brother and sister in law and nephew and wife all from Utah made a showing. It was wonderful to see them all again. Mom was so pleased and so enjoyed their visit. What a great day that was. Thank you Mom for making this all happen.

The next event was at Nicoles home. This was the cutest thing. So, Jesiah got home from school and was so excited to see Ginger and myself there. He ran in and hugged and kissed us both. I was so happy to see him, and I noticed how very tall he is getting. He is in first grade, and very much a boy. I mentioned to Ginger that I wondered how long he would be running to hug and kiss me when he became taller, and perhaps in middle school, or even high school. At that moment in walked Jesiah, so I asked him if he would always hug and kiss me, and he assured me he would always hug and kiss me. Well, I then asked him for a contract. I wanted it in writing. He disappeared, and came back into the kitchen about ten minutes later. He had a little piece of paper that he had written the following.... xxxoooo tutu
7 and up

I was totally floored! I was excited he understood what I wanted and also made the effort to make me a contract. I still have the paper. However, I asked him to sign it, so I could use it when he did get to big to hug and kiss me. I took a picture, and that I will ask Nicole to post for me, as I am not sure how to do it, and she took a copy of it onto her computer.

Then this morning, around three a.m. I heard crying. I listened, and then Brandi knocked on our door and asked her Father to come give Alec a blessing, as he had a bad ear ach. After Terry came back to bed, I started remembering my ear aches as a small child. My Dad use to blow his cig. smoke into my ear. It felt soothing. The other thing I remember my Mom doing was melting vicks vabor rub on the stove top in a small spoon. She would then tear a cotton ball apart, and dip the cotton into the vabor rub. She would blow on it till it cooled, and then put it into my ear. That felt so soothing to my hurt ear. Then I would go back to bed with a heating pad on my pillow, which I was instructed put my hurt ear on that heating pad. The vabor rub would continue to sooth my ear the whole night till morning.
So, back to Alec, I got up, and took Alec downstairs with me, and of course Logan came downstairs also. While I took care of Alec's ear, Logan was telling me he was starving to death. He always tells me that, so I wasn't surprised. I put Alec up in bed with his Mom with the heating pad, and then Logan and I went back downstairs where I gave him two crackers and five bites of applesauce. Cutie little Logan. We all went back to bed and slept till morning. Ah, the memories of years gone by.

Happy New Years to you all

Terry and I spent our New Years at the cabin! It is so magical up there. I wish all of you could have been with us. The snow is white, and pure. Deep and ongoing. When you look out the front picture window, you can't help but smile and be in awe of the beauty.
Nicole and the kids, and Ginger and her kids were up there on Monday and Tuesday. It is energizing to watch them play in the snow. Kids are wonderful for changing the view of your day. No matter how sad you are, they always brighten the day with thier joyous laughter and smiles. Kasin is a bundle of joy just spilling out all over everyone. No one can be sad with him around.
Ginger and the kids she takes care of were wonderful to have with us. They are three very well behaved children. So very polite, and curtious to each other. I am so impressed with them.
Happy New Year everyone. I am excited to see the changes in our lives. The direction which it may take. It is all an adventure. I am looking forward, ever forward with sunshine and smiles all the way. Hurray!
